The visual word of the week: Contentment!

Like I always say, Illustration is visual proof that the universe wants us to be happy!

The visual word of the week is 'Contentment.' Nothing is more satisfying than living the creative life. Despite the ups, the downs and the lean months, there are many tiny victories and big moments that keep me grounded. That 10 second commute, having endless ideas, drifting through work while forgetting about time, laundry and dishes is indeed priceless.

I'm a little late posting this but I have a good excuse: a new webpage!  It's going to be a great summer!

New Website & New Beginnings!

New websites are worth the wait.

It's been a while since my last website redesign. I worked with The GDC Group to create a responsive page which took some time and a new way of thinking about how I present things on a site. This new page centres around my blog, my portfolio and books. I like the idea that I can post work in progress and illustrations I'm working on from my blog. Plus there is a nifty slider at the top that spotlights selected illustrations that be changed when needed. From here, I may add my twitter feed and a shop. I'm pretty excited to see what this site leads to. Let the summer promotion begin!

What I'm Sketching Today June 5 2014

We've been wrapping up the last of the website redesign details so today I refocussed with some much needed sketching. This is part of the series I'm doing, Visual Word Of The Week. Looking forward to finishing it plus adding the text.

I'm considering adding a sketchbook to my website and a few other tidbits to show work in progress. With any luck the site should be launched in the next week or two.
