The Art Of Being Who You Are!

© Holly DeWolf

We all define success differently. To me success means:
• I am reaching the places where my dreams are pointed to.
• Learning to say no!
• Still loving the process, the errors, the experiments and the challenges.
• Triumphing over obstacles and the barriers in my life.
• Still learning daily.
• Completing goals planned out from High School.
• Designing new goals.
• Letting go of control to be free.
• Knowing success is something within me.
• Looking forward to another 20 years as an illustrator, writer, DIY'er, mentor and creative maker!

What is your definition of success?

Best Friend Coffee!

© Holly DeWolf- Best Friend Coffee.

"Hot coffee and cold winter mornings are two of the best soul mates who ever did find each other." -Terri Guillemets

It's good to have that one best friend that is always there. You know the kind I'm talking about: the friend that serves up a much needed jolt and pick-me-up. Coffee is more than just a warm beverage that hangs out in your favourite mug. It's a kind companion that never ignores your caffeine needs. Given enough coffee, I'm pretty sure we could rule the world!

A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square

© Holly DeWolf- A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square

I love birds-especially the ones that visit our little bird feeders outside my studio window. This inspired me to revisit an illustration I did a while back that I shelved.

I think the song A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square is a really charming song so I thought I'd take another crack at it. And Voila, I love it. Best two versions: Nat King Cole & Harry Connick Jr. give this song the loving care it deserves.

"That certain night, the night we met,
There was magic abroad in the air.
There were angels dining at the ritz,
And a nightingale sang in Berkeley Square.

I may be right, I may be wrong,
But I'm perfectly willing to swear
That when you turned and smiled at me,
A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square.

The moon that lingered over London'town
Poor puzzled moon, he wore a frown.
How could he know that we two were so in love?
The whole darn world seemed upside down.

The streets of town were paved with stars,
It was such a romantic affair.
And as we kissed and said goodnight,
A nightingale sang in Berkeley Square."
